Last Week in Chengdu!

IMG_1620 - Version 2

So, before we start on this whole new adventure, I wanted to wrap up our time in Chengdu with a post about our last week here. I mentioned last time that these few weeks have been a total emotional roller coaster, but the last few days have definitely been the most intense. I’m excited, sad, stressed, and relaxed all at once. It really depends on the moment.

Heeeeeeeeey neglected blog of mine! Apologies- last week I was way too preoccupied with being stressed about my demo lesson for the parents to update. To the point of panic, actually. It was a bit ridiculous. I definitely need to work on my stage fright/fear of being judged in the near future. It has gone beyond normal jitters and is bordering on disabling. I am just discovering all of my weaknesses here in China, aren’t I? Fun!

DSC_0709 - Version 2

Hey y’all. Gotta keep this one really short; this week has been absolute madness and I’m running low on time and energy. This week is an 8-day work week for me because of the days off for New Year’s. Chinese Visa Through a Visa Company

So, for those of you who haven’t heard, I had to go on another visa run to Hong Kong. Hopefully it’s the last.  Sadly, this run was not for my Z (working) visa.  This is due to the fact that my school is fairly new and is having trouble acquiring a Z visa for me.  When I was doing the research for my visa I found that from Hong Kong (or any other country besides the United States) I could not get a visa that gave a longer than 30 day stay in China.  One can, however, get two extensions on this 30 day stay in country or get a 3 month multiple entry visa for 30 days at a time but this can quickly get expensive.  However, I found out that China is fairly lax towards other countrie, so that if I used my Brazilian passport I could get a F (business) visa for 6 months in China without needing to leave!
