So, before we start on this whole new adventure, I wanted to wrap up our time in Chengdu with a post about our last week here. I mentioned last time that these few weeks have been a total emotional roller coaster, but the last few days have definitely been the most intense. I’m excited, sad, stressed, and relaxed all at once. It really depends on the moment.

Working in China: Year in Review
Hey y’all!
So, this last week has been a total drag for us, but things are actually looking up as of yesterday!
Cook-Your-Own Barbecue
Hey y’all. Gotta keep this one really short; this week has been absolute madness and I’m running low on time and energy. This week is an 8-day work week for me because of the days off for New Year’s. My work week isn’t that ridiculously difficult, but without the weekend to catch up on sleep and take a break from all the 3 year olds I get burnt out quickly.
Halloween
I thought I’d interrupt my western Sichuan momentum briefly to throw up some pics of Halloween before it gets too far in the past! I managed to grab some photos from my work that are too precious not to share.
Night in Macao and Day in Hong Kong
Awhile ago I put up information about where I stayed in Hong Kong and the visa process I went through, but I did not actually explain the details of or my thoughts on the trip. So, I will take a moment and do that now.
Plans Update
Hello, everyone! Hope you’re all having a good week. For us this week has been all about getting ready for our upcoming trips and planning the end of the year. So much to do! And unfortunately not much of it makes for a thrilling blog post, but I’ll share the details anyway. I want to get a post in letting yall know what’s up before life gets crazy busy.
Teachers’ Day
So, this week I wrapped up my little modeling gig. It was fun, and the money was great, and I’m glad I did it. Thanks for the kind words regarding my pics! I’ll leave you all with a few more before I end this incredibly vain photo-fest. THAT SAID I’m kind of glad it’s finished. I’m not really model material, and I felt pretty uninspiring for the photographer. Some of his ideas were a little uninspiring for me as well, and there are some pictures I’m slightly embarrassed to have floating around the interwebs (see: jumping pics). In the end I think I learned a thing or two, and hopefully they’ll sell a dress or two. It was a good experience.
Modeling Gig!
Hello all! Hope you are all having a great week! We have been SO busy lately!! This is a good thing. There was a time not so long ago where I spent ~60% of my time being bored. I suspected then, while I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself, that the time would soon come when days would start to fly by and the end of our China trip would be staring us in the face. It feels like those days have finally come. My dad gets here in 2 WEEKS (so FREAKING soon!), then Kevin and I are taking a week long trip to Guilin, and then we’re flying to Beijing to meet my Mimi and Jim for another week long vacation. A lot of the deets about our trip are up in the air, but I haven’t had a minute to sit down and figure it all out yet. And then, when we get back, I have about 7 weeks until my contract ends to figure out what I want to do next. The excitement is getting really, really real. The months to come are going to be funfunfun with a side of stress. But fun, exciting stress.
