Midnight Snacks!

IMG_2860 - Version 3

Hello! I think I mentioned last week that I was going to be picking up extra shifts AND working Saturday this week, so it has been pretty hectic. Luckily, I had Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off so I’ve been able to relax and get caught up the last couple of days. I have been able to chat with so many people I love which could not have come at a better time because I had been feeling a bit down and lonely lately. A side effect of Kevin and my opposing schedules is that when I’m home and ready to hang out he’s at work, leaving me with a lot of time by myself. Getting to skype with friends and family back home is amazing and always makes me feel so much more connected with the people I love.

Last night we had a really fun night, which also helped lift my spirits. I thought I’d post some fun pictures I took from our “midnight snacks.” Our Chinese friends usually go out for snacks after we leave the bar and we love to go with them and let them order us food because they take us to little restaurants that we never would know how to choose and order food we wouldn’t be able to order on our own! Last night there were a lot of brains on the table, but they were well done and quite tasty! Anyway, it made for a delicious end to a fun night.   :)

The girls chowing down on some brains!

They really weren’t that bad :)

hehehe!

This week is a short work week, which I’m looking forward to, and we should find out what the deal is with Kevin’s visa situation. I want to write about what’s going on, but for the time being I really don’t know anything except that his final extension for his tourist visa is up in less than a week, but his school doesn’t seem concerned and claims they have it under control. Next week we will find out! Cross you fingers they get him that working visa! For today we both have the day off, which almost never happens, so I think we’re going to relax and maybe bum around Chengdu for a bit (if the weather holds up). If we make it to the bamboo park I will definitely have pictures to share! Either way, more posts coming soon :) Xo!

What fun this post is! I read it to g-grandma and showed her the pix. She enjoyed seeing you and Kevin. She said she’s worried about you being in China. I think the pictures of you calm her worries a little. Thanks for the help. Of course I always love seek g your smiling faces. I’m fairly sure Kevin’s visa will come through. Sounds like it’ll be last minute. Big bugs!
